It can be sickening how easy it is for even the most mediocre of magicians to convince thousands--even millions--of people that he has actual psychic abilities. All it takes is a basic knowledge of a couple simple "mentalist" tricks, a decent understanding of human psychology, and a complete lack of anything even remotely resembling a conscience.
